Eyes That Cannot Lie

It is the eyes that give someone away. The eyes see and by them we are seen, they express, convey, show and betray the deepest parts of our inner hearts, mind, and soul. The eyes that show the creature for what it truly is: the glazed look in the eyes of the big cat that once knew the thrill of the hunt, the thousand yard stare of the soldier that looks straight through you, the pure and innocent light in the eyes of a small child in awe of all that Christmas morning brings, the elation upon first sight of a loved one again after a long time apart, the hate and malevolent look in the eyes of those filled with violence seeking destruction. When eyes are colder than the Arctic tundra ice and snow, it chills to the depths of the soul, in a moment the same eyes will change hotter than the sun with passion and love. This seems fitting that the eyes cannot be repaired once sight is lost there is no going back. You may be careful with what you say, but your eyes cannot lie.

The Quietest Corner

The quietest corner of the mind, is free from all space and time. Here there is truth and no body lies, I am alone in this quietest corner, through the stained glass window shines the hunter’s moon, the light in this darkened Cathedral, the anger of angels dies only echoes remain in the stillness of this place. The mind journeys to wherever it may roam and the silence is broken only for whom the bell tolls. The bridges are burning I played with fire, but you dropped the match that lit it ablaze. A cold fire burning so deep none that sea it’s drowning me on the hot desert sand where I stand has become a sheet of glass. The light was blinding all that I know gone with the flash. There is no turning back. Giants do fall don’t stand in the way, no matter how strong the thing that stands against me, it is no match for the standard of the flood that rises up in front of me. The determination annihilation. It is finished.

Just a Pair of Boots

Just a pair of boots in the store, buy them for the job you do
Just a pair of boots under the bed getting ready for the day ahead
Just a pair of boots on the feet walking these crowded streets
Just a pair of boots standing tall a monument for those who fall
Just pair of boots that quietly tell a story of heroes who seek no glory

Love took Flight and I took a Dive

I left my fear on the ground, only delight as the plane took flight.
What I couldn't see was you werent here with me.
Here I am between heaven and earth, so high above falling so fast
A feeling that can never be told a rush reserved for the brave and the bold.

Remembered

I come alive tonight with an almost forgotten light in my eyes it’s a straight cerebellum feed

Overload

Through this light I see the world without day or night roaming earth between the panes of time

Transparent

I feel all the Joy and Sorrow, The Lover’s passion, The Enemy’s rage, Birth and Death flowing through me

Electricity

I come alive with a near forgotten light, burning so bright I am transparent overloaded by this electricity

The Few

The Few walk through the fire to pay the price becoming what most can only dream
The Few are masters of war so the many can live in peace
The Few protect the many against many more
The Few are a wall against the flood that tries to drown the land they love
The Few will finish a fight they did not pick with absolute resolve
The Few are united and so we can stand
The Few are the heroes forgotten who give all so the many can keep all
The Few do not want to die for you but will do so if asked to

Ode To The Coffee Bean

You are so Beautiful to me
You are the first thing on my mind in the morning
I think about you all day long
You make me happy
All my problems seem to vanish when I'm holding you
You redefine addiction, I am addicted to you
I need you
You are my cup of coffee
My lovely coffee bean
This is my Ode' to the coffee bean
